Analysis Of Multi-stage Pump Construction Standards

Multi-stage pumps are critical equipment for transporting high-pressure liquids in the industrial sector. Their construction quality directly impacts the stability and safety of system operation. To ensure that multi-stage pump installation complies with technical specifications, the construction process must strictly adhere to industry standards and operating procedures.


Foundation Construction Requirements

Before installing a multi-stage pump, the foundation must be accurately calibrated to ensure that its levelness deviation does not exceed 0.1mm/m and that it has sufficient load-bearing capacity to withstand the dynamic loads during operation. Foundation embedded parts must be strictly aligned with the pump body anchor bolts. After the bolts are tightened, secondary grouting is required to enhance stability.


Installation Accuracy Control

Aligning the coupling between the pump body and the motor is a critical step in construction. Radial and axial deviations must be controlled within a range of 0.05-0.10mm to avoid vibration and premature bearing wear caused by poor alignment. Pipe connections should use flexible joints to reduce stress transfer, and inlet and outlet pipes must be supported and fixed to prevent external forces from affecting pump operation.

 

Sealing and Trial Run

During mechanical seal installation, ensure the surfaces of the dynamic and static seals are clean and free of scratches, and tighten the gland bolts to the specified torque. After installation, conduct a no-load trial run, gradually increasing the pressure to the rated parameters to check for leaks, vibration, and temperature abnormalities. The trial run should last at least two hours to ensure the coordination and stability of all components.


Acceptance Standards

Final acceptance must be conducted in accordance with national standards such as GB/T 5657-2013 "Technical Requirements for Centrifugal Pumps," verifying construction records, test data, and the equipment manual. Only projects that pass pressure testing, vibration testing, and energy efficiency evaluations can be put into operation.

 

Strict adherence to multi-stage pump construction standards is essential for ensuring long-term reliable operation of the equipment and is a prerequisite for project quality.
